CheMatSustain: Enhancing Safety and Sustainability through Innovation!
With a commitment to shaping a sustainable future and aligning with the SDG’s and the EU Green Deal, our mission at CheMatSustain is clear: to lead the way in pioneering innovative methods for safety and sustainability assessments of chemicals and materials, particularly at the nano level across the European Union.
The Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability (CSS) sets the stage for our work, providing the framework for our actions. By striving towards a zero-pollution economy and a toxic-free environment, we embrace the principle of producing and utilizing chemicals in a manner that serves societal needs while respecting planetary boundaries and safeguarding both people and ecosystems.
Recognizing the transformative potential of nanotechnology across diverse sectors, our project embraces this potential while prioritizing safety and sustainability. We aim to develop cutting-edge methods to assess risks, incorporating innovative in vitro and in silico tools for toxicity testing and hazard assessments. CMS is committed to minimizing hazards and addressing uncertainties and risks related to chemicals and nanomaterials.
