CheMatSustain at the Baltic University Progamm’s 35-year celebratory webinars

To celebrate the Programme’s 35th anniversary in 2026, BUP will host a series of webinars dedicated to sustainability in the Baltic Sea Region.
During our presentation, the CheMatSustain project and the Technical University of Denmark’s work on the safety and sustainability assessment of chemicals and nanomaterials will be introduced. We will highlight how Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Risk Assessment (RA), and Absolute Environmental Sustainability Assessment (AESA) can support Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) approaches. The presentation will discuss how these methods can be applied throughout material development and product innovation to support informed decision-making and the development of safer and more sustainable materials.
