Last week, the CheMatSustain project team came together in Valencia, Spain, for the fifth General Assembly. The meeting was hosted by ProtoQSAR, on of the premises of the Universitat de València.
On 15th June, the 5th General Assembly Meeting of the project was held, opened by project coordinator Dr. Jelena Barbir. The project partners discussed the progress made over the last months and presented an overview of each of the work packages.
The partners reflected on the significant achievements in preparation and characterization of chemicals and nanomaterials, with a major milestone achieved, as the ULODZ team, in collaboration with the UNIURB team, have delivered 100% of the selected chemicals to the project partners for testing. Furthermore, more than 90% of the selected CNMs have been characterized and 95% of the tests conducted are finished or currently in progress.
After a day of presentations and exchanges, the meeting day concluded with a shared social dinner in the city of Valencia, giving the partners opportunity to unwind in a relaxed atmosphere.
The following day, on June 16th, the team discussed ways to ensure that the project’s results can effectively contribute to both policy development and industry practices. In addition, partners focused on strategies for upscaling and replicating the project’s outcomes, as well as strengthening communication and dissemination activities to further increase the project’s visibility and impact.
The meeting was concluded with a shared lunch in Valencia. In the afternoon, the consortium had the opportunity to explore Valencia’s filming locations during a guided walking tour, discovering places that have served as settings for various movie scenes.
Thank you to all project partners for these two fruitful days, and a special thank you to the hosts, the team from ProtoQSAR!
