CheMatSustain at the 8th Professor Aleksandra Sokołowska Seminar

On May 7-10, the CMS team from Politechnika Łódzka participated in the 8th Professor Aleksandra Sokołowska Seminar in Czarlina, Poland. During the event, Aleksandra Jastrzębska, Marta Kamińska and Bogdan Walkowiak presented two posters highlighting our ongoing research on sodium citrate-stabilized gold nanoparticles and their interactions with biological systems.

One poster focused on the MTT assay, investigating the effects of sodium citrate-stabilized gold nanoparticles on endothelial EAhy926 cells. The second addressed the micronucleus test, which was used to assess the genotoxicity of both the sodium citrate-stabilized gold nanoparticles and sodium citrate itself.

In addition, we presented recent progress on our broader research activities, including studies on the effects of nano- and micromaterials on EAhy926 cells, such as cytotoxicity, ROS generation, and genotoxicity.

Thank you to the organizers and participants for the valuable scientific exchange throughout the seminar!
